Product Description

Natamycin is a natural antifungal compound produced by Streptomyces fermentation. It belongs to polyene macrolides and is a near-white or cream-yellow crystalline powder. It is an odorless, tasteless, low-dose and high safety food preservative. It can not only widely and effectively inhibit the growth of various molds and yeasts, but also inhibit the production of mycotoxins. It can be widely used for food preservation and antifungal treatment. Natamycin has no inhibitory effect on bacteria, so it does not affect the natural ripening process of yogurt, cheese, raw ham, and dry sausage.

Application

 

Natamycin is a natural, broad-spectrum, efficient and safe filamentous fungal inhibitor such as yeast and mold, which can inhibit fungi and prevent the production of mycotoxins. Natamycin is harmless to the human body and difficult to be absorbed by human digestive tract, and it is difficult for microorganisms to produce resistance to it.

At the same time, because of its low solubility and other characteristics, it is usually used for food surface preservation and biological preservative.

At the same time, natamycin is also used to treat fungal infections, including Candida, Aspergillus, Fusarium, etc., and also used as eye drops or oral preparations.
