Nutrient Solution

This can be considered equivalent to fertilizer in traditional agriculture. A few key elements of the nutrient solution might be regarded as hydroponics' "special sauce": Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. After a trip through the system, the nutrient solution returns to the reservoir and can be reused.
