Flange is a part connecting two pipe ends. Flange connection is a removable connection of a group of combined sealing structures connected by flanges, gaskets and bolts. Add a gasket between the two flanges and fasten them with bolts.
Different pressure flanges, with different thicknesses, use different bolts. When pumps and valves are connected with pipes, equipment components are also made of corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections. Generally, closed bolted components are also known as flanges, such as the connection of ventilation pipes. Such parts can be called flange parts, but this connection is only a part of the equipment, such as the connection between flanges and pumps, It is not inappropriate to call the pump a flange type part, but a relatively small valve, which can be called a flange type part.
Welding Neck flange refers to a kind of flange with cone neck and butt welding with cylinder or pipe, which belongs to integral flange.

Advantages and Disadvantages:
Advantages: due to the transition structure of the cone neck and butt welding connection, the strength and stiffness of the flange are strengthened, and the sealing performance is better than that of the flat welding flange.
Disadvantages: It needs to be made of forgings, which consumes a lot of materials and costs a lot. Suitable for high pressure, high temperature or high sealing requirements.
