Ethylene glycol mono allyl group ether is a colorless transparent liquid with weak characteristic odor, which is easily miscible with water and has weak oxidation after long-term exposure to air. Due to the presence of hydroxyl and double bonds in the molecular formula, it is a new environmentally friendly polymerization monomer and intermediate. Due to its high boiling point and low odor, it is suitable as a comonomer for synthesizing hydroxyl functional group resins and a modified intermediate for organic silicon. It can replace allyl alcohol and has excellent performance. It is mainly used in the production of fluorocarbon resin, super absorbent resin, unsaturated polyester, UV curing paint, water-soluble paint, paint and plastic additives, polyurethane foam stabilizer, battery and solid polymer electrolyte for chromium electroplating. At present, there are two synthetic processes of ethylene glycol mono allyl group ether: 1. Chemicalbook) etherification capping method. Allyl group chloride is used to etherify with ethylene glycol under alkaline conditions, and then purified by distillation. The application of ethylene glycol mono allyl group ether as the comonomer of fluorocarbonic acid resin, a fluoropaint, can adjust the hardness of the film and endow the fluororesin with hydrophilicity. With the development of fluorocoatings, ethylene glycol mononeneneba allyl ether, as a reactive diluent, has been widely used.
