Product Description

Calcined bauxite is one of the principal ore of aluminum. Shaft kiln calcined bauxite is obtained by calcining superior grade bauxite at high temperature (from 1500ºC to 1700ºC) in the shaft kiln. This removes moisture thereby increasing the alumina content. Compared to an alumina content of about 57% to 58% in raw bauxite, calcined bauxite has an alumina content of 84% to 88%.

Besides, through calcination, the density and refractory resistance will also be improved to varying degrees. The grade of bauxite can be increased greatly.

The calcined bauxite can be processed into bauxite sand and bauxite powder of different particle sizes, both of which can be directly used as refractory sand. It has a very high status in the field of refractory materials.

Application

1. Aluminum smelting industry. Used in national defense, aviation, automobiles, electrical appliances, chemicals, etc.

2. Precision casting. The bauxite clinker is processed into fine powder to form a mold and then precision cast. 

3. Used in refractory products. High bauxite clinker has a refractoriness of up to 1780°C, strong chemical stability and good physical properties. 

4. Aluminum silicate refractory fiber. Light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, small heat capacity and mechanical vibration resistance. 

5. Using magnesia and bauxite clinker as raw materials, adding appropriate binders, the effect is very good for castables.

6. Manufacturing high alumina refractory cement.
