This product is used as a heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride, as well as raw materials for cosmetics such as flour, moisturizing ointments, and pharmaceutical tablets (shaping agents, lubricants); Used in wood powder for lubrication, brightness, and transparency; Used in the paint industry as transparent leveling agents, etc. Metal soaps used as polyvinyl chloride stabilizers are mostly higher fatty acid salts of cadmium, barium, calcium, zinc and magnesium, with stearic acid as the base and lauric acid as the salt. Magnesium stearate can be considered non-toxic, and is allowed to be used in products that come into contact with food in the United States, Germany, and Japan, but its application as a heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride is not widespread.
