These dielectrically optical mirrors feature greater than 99% reflection, significantly better than that of metal coated mirrors, and increases system performance by minimizing energy loss. The highly durable fused silica substrate offers a low coefficient of thermal expansion and a high resistance to abrasion. Broadband Dielectric Mirrors are designed for applications from the UV to the near-infrared spectra.

Processing
Oplens equipped Precitech SPDT with Taylor Hobson PGI 3D profilometer. The results of the profilometer measurement system can be directly put into the diamond machine to provide positive compensation values for the machining of aspheric components. At the same time, curvature, surface flatness, roughness and other indicators can be quantified effectively and accurately.
Testing
Oplens equipped Zygos which work by producing a beam of laser light and transmitting it to the optic under test by way of a very, very accurate lens fitted to the Zygo. This is the key to the instrument's accuracy. As the light passes through this lens, which is not coated, it enables 4% of the light to be reflected back into the Zygo.
