Pharmacological action
Eprinomectin belongs to macrolide insecticides, which have a highly effective anthelmintic effect on internal and external parasites, especially nematodes and arthropods, by increasing the release of γ-aminobutyric acid (γ-GABA), an inhibitory transmitter of the parasite, as well as opening glutamate-controlled chloride channels, enhancing the permeability of the nerve membrane to chloride ions so as to block the transmission of nerve signals, ultimately leading to nerve paralysis of the parasite and loss of contractile ability of muscle cells and death.
Pharmacological action
Eprinomectin is soluble, and its pharmacokinetics show nonlinear characteristics. When 0.5 mg/kg · bw was poured on the back of dairy cows, the peak concentration (Cmax) was 18.64 ± 2.51 ng/ml, and the time to peak concentration (Tmax) was 3.63 ± 0.92 days, mean residence time (MRT) 5.61 ± 0.45 days, area under the curve (AUC0-t) 113.90 ± 19.01 ng · day ml, apparent volume of distribution (Vd) 41 L, plasma clearance (CL) 4.5 L/day, mainly excreted in feces, and a small amount excreted in milk and urine.
Indication
Eprinomectin Pour on solution is used for the treatment of parasitic diseases such as nematodes and mites in vitro in dairy cows.
Dosage And Administration
Calculated as Eprinomectin. For external use, gradually pour 0.5 mg of cattle per 1 kg of body weight along the dorsal ridge of dairy cows from the nail to the base of the tail (i.e., 1 ml of this product per 10 kg of body weight).
Precautions
1. for external use in livestock only. Do not apply to areas of skin with scabies, skin lesions, mud, and feces.
2. If the product is frozen, it should be completely thawed and shaken well before use.
3. Avoid exposure of children to drugs.
4. Used drug bottles and residual drug liquid shall be safely disposed (such as burial).
