Product Description

Icariin, one of the main flavonoids of the herb Epimedium, has long been used in Chinese medicine to treat fractures and prevent osteoporosis. It is suggested that icariin is an effective component of Icarii in strengthening bone, and one of its mechanisms may be to stimulate the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow stromal cells. Icariin has been reported to prevent and treat diseases related to sexual dysfunction and improve vasoconstriction. Icariin is used to prepare angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, which can be used to treat hypertension combined with coronary heart disease.
Icariin has been used to:
      1.The effect on improving skin wound healing in rats was determined in the preparation of topical treatment
      2.To test its analgesic effect on LBP in rats
      3.As a potential treatment for osteoporosis in rats
      4.To investigate its effect on palmitate (PA) -induced in-sulin resistance in skeletal muscle C2C12
      5. To investigate its effect on neuronal in-sulin resistance in human neuroblastoma SK-N-MC cells induced by amyloidin-β (Aβ) as A neuroprotective agent
