Measuring theory
In a fulfilled pipeline, when the measured application flows through the throttling element, the beam becomes partial contraction at throttling element; Therefore, the flowing speed increased and the static pressure decreased; So that there will be a pressure difference. The higher the flowing speed is, the greater the pressure difference is; So that the flowing rate can be calculated from the pressure difference. This method of measuring is based on the Continuity Equation (law of conservation of mass) and the Bernoulli Equation (law of conservation of energy). The pressure difference is not only relative with flowing rate but also many other factors. For example, the pressure difference may vary if there is difference at throttling element type or physical properties (density, viscosity) of the measured application.
The most popular orifice flow meter is a low cost, long life with simple and stable structure.
The differential pressure flow meter is very popular in many industry fields. It is suitable for all kinds of single fluid including liquid, gas and steam. It is also suitable for some of two-application mixed measurement, such as gas-solid, gas-liquid, liquid-solid etc. The products available in most working status (pressure, temperature) and fit most pipeline, during industry processing.
The standard detection element is international model, is approved by international standard organization. The research to the standard measuring element is internationally rather than individual factory or research group, therefore the research is far beyond in breadth and depth. Time wise, the standard measuring element has never changed since 30's of 20 century after confirmed by international standard organization; It is very rich on research data and production practice; None of other flow meter is comparable with it yet.
Working condition of standard throttling element
1. Environment condition:
1) Standard atmosphere condition:
Temperature: 20, Humidity: 65%, Atmosphere Pressure: 101.325KPa.
2) Compare with atmosphere condition:
Temperature: 20± 2, Humidity: 60% ~ 70%, Atmosphere Pressure: 86 ~ 108KPa.
3) Standard test atmosphere condition:
Temperature: 15~ 35, Humidity: 45% ~ 75%, Atmosphere Pressure: 86 ~ 108KPa.
4) Other condition: Magnetic field and mechanical vibration is negligible.
2. Power supply condition:
220V± 1%, 50Hz± 1%, Harmonics Distortion<5% (AC), Ripple<0.2% (DC).
3. Fluid condition:
1) Fluid could be compressible (gas) or incompressible (liquid), it is uniformed and single-phase fluid in physics and thermodynamics; High dispersion colloid (i. e. Milk), is traded as single-phase fluid; There should be no phase change when the fluid flow through throttling element; Fluid is Newtonian fluid.
2) The fluid should be fulfill the pipeline; With fully developed velocity distribution; Without swirl.
3) Flow rate shouldn't change over time, or only slightly and slowly change over time. It's not suitable for measuring pulsatile flow.
Pulsatile flow condition:
Apart from eligible to above conditions, it's also necessary to pay attention to the fluid's precipitation; The dirt will affect measuring result.
