Mullite is an aluminosilicate refractory, which is generally used in stainless steel precision casting process.
The higher the aluminum content, the lower the iron content, and the higher the dust content, the better the quality of mullite products.
Mullite is made of kaolin by high temperature sintering.
Application of mullite sand:
(1) Aluminum industry. Used in national defense, aviation, automobile, electrical appliances, chemical industry, daily necessities, etc.
(2) Precision casting. Bauxite clinker is processed into fine powder and made into mould for investment casting. For military, aerospace, communications, instrumentation, machinery and medical equipment departments.
(3) Using magnesia and bauxite clinker as raw materials and adding appropriate binders, it can be used to cast the integral barrel lining
with good effect.
(4) Manufacturing bauxite cement, abrasive materials, ceramic industry and chemical industry can make a variety of aluminum compounds.
